People often ask me if they can come work for me for free, to just be around, see what we do, and make connections. The lightbulb went off a couple of weeks ago as I was going over all of the people who’d reached out—we should start an internship program, which will bring more structure and help us get projects done.
Our goal is to provide value to you as an organization and for you to provide value to us. I want to network with people and build relationships. Some of these internships will turn into positions with us, some will be deals we do down the road in five or ten years. But this is a great way to learn, network, and work alongside us.

Videography Internship
The first opportunity will entail working with Jules, our video producer. She’s worked with us for the past seven months or so and is excited to bring in someone who wants to grow. She’s looking for someone to help with editing for the podcast on YouTube, as well as social clips and reels; help film both in the studio and second shooting on location when doing property walkthroughs; assist with media management, including organizing footage and making sure everything is in the correct place. We’re starting the second season of our BiggerPockets Multi Family Mentors show, so she’ll need someone who has the flexibility to go out to different areas.
The right candidate for this position will have a basic understanding of Premiere Pro, workaround of a camera, and good organizational skills. We’re still building a lot of systems, so being able to be organized and adapt to changing circumstances will be huge skills for success.
Media Internship
We also have an internship opportunity with our social media manager, Dianna. She is looking forward to welcoming someone new to our team of entrepreneurs who is focused on both professional and personal growth. This position will entail helping to build personal and micro websites; create social media infographics, posts, and YouTube thumbnails; and photo editing to match our current branding.
She’s looking for someone with a basic understanding of social media platforms; we’re currently on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and are expanding into TikTok, too. The right candidate will be skilled in graphic design and familiar with canva.com, know how to use Lightroom for photo editing, and has an eye for design and picking up marketing strategies around them.
Research Internship for Brokerage
On the brokerage side, I’m looking for an intern who can assist with research projects doing data research, running analyses, creating reports, and assisting with administrative duties. We’ll use that output internally for the brokerage and turn it into podcasts and marketing pieces. We always have a lot of ideas to dig into so we can understand different scenarios and pieces of data.
Creating Analyses for Content
Do you like building models? Or finding the answers to various scenarios? Chris is looking for someone to create models and spreadsheets to appear on the podcast.
Additional Internship Opportunities
These are unpaid internships that will entail about 5-15 hours a week for 3-6 months. So far, we have loose parameters so we recommend reaching out and talking to us.
Licensed agents are welcome to apply, but there will likely be client-related things we can’t loop you in on, and that will not mean that you will officially become an agent for us at the end of the internship. While it may lead to an agent opportunity down the road, we aren’t the typical brokerage looking to recruit a bunch of agents. The goal is to build really good long-term relationships and provide a unique experience for those looking to grow in this area.
Why Intern with Us?
In addition to honing your skills in videography, media management, and research assistance, these internships will provide valuable experiences in the world of real estate investing. Interns will have the chance to walk properties, spend time in the studio, and network with people who can provide valuable knowledge for your own investing career.
Throughout these internships, you’ll gain practical experience, train with the team, and attend business meetings and networking events. We’ll provide a flexible schedule, classes with our agents and team members, and facilitated happy hours. The team environment and quick pace will provide you with opportunities to grow and challenge yourself. We want to play to your strengths and interests and welcome your ideas.
