The biggest lesson I’ve learned in four years of doing this podcast is that the more I share my goals and plans, the more I attract the right people to help me achieve them. So today, I am going to share my next round of goals that will allow me to think big, get the right people, and crush it. Growing Envision Advisors
When I realized that real estate is my true passion, I created a business that would allow me to teach people about using real estate to build long term wealth. This is a niche market in itself, and there was nothing else like it, let alone for Colorado specifically. Less than a year ago, I expanded and rebranded into Envision Advisors. In that time, I went from 4 to 15 people, 10 of whom came directly from the podcast and community.
The reason we’ve been so successful is our unique organizational structure that allows people to play to their strengths and focus on what they’re best at. I know that while I’m good at networking and creating strategies, I’m the last person you want writing a contract. But our agents are great at writing contracts and getting deals done. On the backend, our admin and transaction coordinator teams keep everything running smoothly. We all work together to help our clients create a strategy and execute it.
Because of our unique structure and the strength of our team, we’re able to do things that individual agents simply cannot. We get tremendous feedback from our clients, but the real proof of our success is in our growth.

I share these numbers not to brag, but to show that our recipe works. By focusing on building the infrastructure, it’s allowed us to grow and better help our clients.
Commercial + Southern Colorado Expansion
Over the years, we’ve focused on house hacking, single family homes, and small multi family units. Now, we’ve identified a great opportunity in the 20+ unit apartments space. If you’re a broker, admin, investor, or involved in the commercial space at all, I want to network with you.
In addition to growing into different investment areas, we’re also growing geographically. Our success in the Colorado Springs area has been phenomenal. And while we’re not done growing there, we’re expanding down to Pueblo, too. So, if you’re an agent, investor, inspector, lender, or otherwise involved in real estate in either of those areas, I want to hear from you. Let’s network and continue to grow.
Lots of clients reach out to us with their portfolios and tell us they don’t know what to do with them. Out of that need, our real estate portfolio analysis service was born: a human advisor who helps you figure out what to do with your real estate portfolio. There are advisors for stocks and finance, but nothing existed that allowed people to track, understand, and align their real estate portfolios with their goals.
When I was in college, I majored in financial planning because it’s so important to me. Before I got into real estate full time, I even thought about creating my own financial planning business and got as far as creating a few blog posts under the name www.MrPersonalFinance.com. But as I was writing, real estate investing kept drawing me back.
I was able to blend my financial planning and real estate passions by creating our portfolio analysis service and have taken about 100 clients through the process over the last 9 months. We’ve gotten great feedback; people love it and find it so helpful, so we’re going to start scaling it up over the next few months.
One of the few things I truly worry about is not whether I will hit my goals in 30 or 40 years, but what if something happened to me tomorrow. I’m not yet where I want to be financially for my family and if I were gone, they wouldn’t know the accounts, properties, or strategies I’m working on. That worry is what drives me to put all of that together in one place so that my family is prepared for any outcome. I want to create that for your family, too.

One of our most common requests is to have access to our portfolio analysis spreadsheet. Unfortunately, that’s something I can’t hand out because it’s too complex to share and it’s proprietary. But with that in mind, we’re working on creating a web-enabled version of the spreadsheet at scale. On one of our recent podcasts, we mentioned this in passing and one of our listeners reached out with ideas.
Now, we’re in full development of a really cool software application. We shot for the moon and had a lot of fun with it by asking the question, “How can we build an investor’s dream toolkit?” There isn’t anything in the marketplace that provides a great platform for managing real estate portfolios like there is for stocks. Over the next few months, we’re going to have a lot more information. If you’re currently in that space, particularly with experience bringing software to market, reach out to us.
Media is the engine that drives our ecosystem. Over the last four years, we’ve had a quarter million downloads of the podcast. While that isn’t a huge number, we’re reaching the right people who are in the local community. Our website gets over 3K hits a month and SEOs really well. Having the content, the reach, and the networking at scale are all key to our success.
Looking at the staff that’s created that, I want to double down on it. That’s what’s led to networking at scale and my ability to 10x my reach. I want to continue this growth by focusing on optimization on the website, marketing funnels, and new marketing campaigns. If you have any marketing ideas, reach out. We’ve got a lot going on, but the thing I’ve learned in the past 20 years of business is that I always wished I’d thought bigger. Some of these goals may seem lofty or abstract, but I am confident about executing them. Right now, we’ve got momentum; if you’ve had momentum before, be it in life, sports, or business, you know how magical it is. With momentum, you can accomplish more in 2 years than you could in 20 years without it. It won’t be there forever, but it’s here now, so I want to harvest it in order to accomplish all of these goals.
